Description of Services: Offers a diabetes management centre to assist individuals in understanding and managing their illness
Services offered:
  • Diabetic screening and blood glucose monitoring
  • Pre-diabetes clinics
  • Prevention and awareness programs
  • Meal planning
  • Stress management and counselling
  • Education about diabetes (insulin, glucose and nutrition)
  • Promotion in understanding diabetes management and self care (type of diabetes and relationship between nutrition, exercise, medications and stress)
Program services are provided through:
  • Individual sessions
  • Group sessions
  • Health promotion activities
  • Seminars, workshops and community awareness events
