Description of Services:
  • Provides programs and services with a focus on improving emotional, physical and developmental services for children, youth, adults and their families
  • Provides intake and service coordination for children's service agencies and adult developmental services
  • Offers follow-up services option to all clients ending services to enable professionals such as doctors to continue to provide assistance
  • Provides public prevention education and training in areas such as parenting, family violence, separation and divorce
  • Offers educational materials, pamphlets and a lending library as well as information and presentations on children's mental health issues

    • Operates 4 licensed child care programs in Kenora
    • Offers full-day and before and/or after school programs
    • Offers an integrated program at 2 locations for children with developmental/physical disabilities
    Telepsychiatry
    • Coordinates the provision of psychiatric consultations with the Division of Child Psychiatry at the University of Toronto through confidential video conferencing
    • Submits a written report to client's counsellor and/or doctor
    Administers branch offices in:

    • Fort Frances
    • Red Lake
    • Sioux Lookout
