Description des services: Offers clinical, educational and administrative conferences to Northern Ontario First Nation communities through video conferencing or alternate forms of webcasting
  • Partners with Keewaytinook Okimakanak Telemedicine (KOTM)
  • Provides consultations and follow-up appointments with health professionals via video conferencing units in local nursing stations to allow clients/patients to access health services without leaving their own community
  • Provides health related education sessions to clients and families, and employees of Sioux Lookout First Nations Health Authority
  • Coordinates various activities to encourage community involvement such as career fairs, family visitation, meet and greets and organization interviews
Program offers the following services:
Tele-Counselling
  • Connects client and community counsellor for one-on-one consultations with service provider on any agreed upon topic of choice
Tele-Psychiatry
  • Coordinates with the University of Toronto Sick Kids Department to provide one-time consultation with psychiatrist to review case management and recommendations
  • Provides emergency/urgent services for clients within 48 hours
Tele-Psychology
  • Offers individual psychological consultations

Tele-Psychiatry: Children and youth between 0-17 years of age

  • All services require initial Intake Assessment

  • Requires advance arrangements to be made through Telemedicine Coordinator


Tele-Psychiatry

  • Requires completion of 8 page referral package and consent forms; must include referral contact information

  • Referrals must come from Nodin Child and Family Intervention Services
