Description of Services: Provides culturally appropriate education, programs and support to improve the health of expectant First Nation women and their babies
  • Promotes pre/post natal nutrition and healthy lifestyles
  • Provides information and support for all stages of pregnancy, including preparation for labour and delivery
  • Provides breastfeeding education and information
  • Offers adult and teen individual and group prenatal classes
  • Offers home and hospital visits
  • Provides infant formula and baby food to individuals in an emergency situation
  • Provides an infant weigh scale for use anytime
  • Provides referrals to other supports and services
  • Provides cultural craft times and teachings
Nutrition Education
  • Teaches about shopping on a budget
  • Advises on pre/postnatal nutrition and food supplements
