Description of Services:	Functions as the governing office for the community; oversees all community programs, services and facilities Activities and services for community members also include but are not limited to the following: Hospital services available at Sioux Lookout Meno Ya Win Health Centre Ontario First Nation Policing arrangements through Ontario Provincial Police (OPP); local phone: 807-469-7431 Child & Family services provided by Tikinagan Child & Family Services, phone 807-737-3466, fax 807-737-3543 Weagamow Accommodations: 807-469-9925 Weagamow Lake is a dry community and ALL arriving passengers at airport and via winter road undergo a luggage check for alcohol and/or illegal substances Offers 2 main stores (Northern and Onadamakay), several small private businesses, Weagamow Lake Five Bay Garage, Weagamow Lake Restaurant and a public library Operates a Canada Post postal service Operates a community radio station (CHWL) which broadcasts community news and events to residents Serviced by flights with Weagamow Air and Wasaya Airways through the Round Lake airport located 1.9 km west of community, and maintained and serviced by the Ministry of Transportation Ontario Offers an Anglican Church and New Life Pentecostal Church Coordinates a Community Garden and donates fresh produce for the Annual Hunter's Festival in its 26th year in 2016 Participates in the Junior Canadian Rangers Program for youth (12-18 years) which teaches various skills including but not limited to first aid, using rifles safely, hunting and fishing, Native customs and traditions, healthy living, staying in school and drug and alcohol abuse awareness Provides health care services through the Sena Memorial Nursing Station Offers the New Horizons Treatment Centre Offers North Caribou Lake Education Authority, which administers education services as well as the Native Sena School and Public Library Operates the Weagamow Air Base Community hooked up to the Ontario elecrtrical system (power grid) in October 2022 through the Wataynikaneyap Power line/project; diesel generators in community turned off Services and Programs: Extended Health Benefits Fire Department Housing Program Ontario Works Public Works Department Early Childhood Centre - Early Childhood Development Early Childhood Centre - Healthy Babies Healthy Children North Caribou Lake Education Authority - Public Library Sena Memorial Nursing Station
